In May 2006, PSL received the world’s  most important and prestigious award in software engineering –the SPA-Software Process Achievement award- granted by IEEE and SEI.   In July 2003, PSL was one of  first  eight  companies assessed  CMMI level 5, the highest maturity level in software and systems  engineering according to the SEI.  In July 2002,  PSL was also the first iberoamerican  company assessed SW-CMM level 5.  PSL is  one of the few companies in the region that has adopted Six Sigma Practices for software development and quality control and it was the first ISO9001-certified Colombian company  in the IT field in versions 94 and 2000.
